“I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to coach at St. Joseph’s College and to continue to build on a successful program,” said Garrett. “As a program we will build a strong foundation for our players based on work ethic, leadership, responsibility and accountability. This foundation will allow players to reach their full potential as Division III student-athletes.” – Richard Garrett, Head Coach

The winds of change will be blowing at St. Joseph’s two-year-old state-of-the-art SJC Outdoor Field Complex this spring. With an entirely new coaching staff led by former St. Dominic High School coach Rick Garrett, a budding new crop of talent and a renewed energy and hope for success, the Golden Eagles’ sights are squarely set on capturing a Skyline Conference crown.

Coach Garrett has brought in two new assistants with professional experience, LIU-Post alum Paul Parsolano, and Kraig Binick of the two-time Atlantic League Champion Long Island Ducks. They join the returning staff of SJC alum Joe Benkert and Dennis Lopez.
The Eagles lineup will be anchored by their two All-Skyline and All-ABCA/Rawlings New York Region Team members, senior Dan Diblasi (.370) and junior Mike Aloisio (.318).
This year, SJC will get contribution and leadership from 20 returning players including pitchers Steve Szobesky, Robert Hyde, Glenn Patriss, Jonathan Beekman, Matt Mills, Kurt Robinson, Frank Trionfo, Jake Brown, Thomas Moore, and Matt Leach.  Alosio and sophomore James Terry will harness the pitching staff at the catcher position. Infielders Tom Rubenstein, Joe Calabrese, and Anthony Andreani return for another year in the infield while Diblasi, Mike Feerick, Joseph Lynn, James Caiafa, and Ryan Walsh will once again run down balls in the outfield.
SJC added middle infielders Thomas Santacangelo, Josh Outsen, Joe Liberatore, Hamo Deljanin, Brian Kerman and Peter Waters. Matthew Hess, Anthony Rizzo, and Luke Brown will take the mound for the first time for St. Joseph’s College. Dennis McAllister provides another corner infielder, while Nick LoCascio and Sean Balsam bolster the outfield corps.
