Coming off their sixth straight conference championship, the Rams return six starting position players and 10 pitchers. With the help of 20 newcomers, head coach Keith Osik and the Farmingdale State Rams will look to continue their conference dominance and make their seventh consecutive trip to the New York Regionals in Auburn, NY.

Right handed pitcher Michael Dolce, who led the nation in ERA (0.75), enters his senior season and will once again lead the starting rotation. Sophomores Alex Weingarten and Matthew Fick had great rookie campaigns. Weingarten finished with a 2.47 ERA and four saves in 18 appearances, while Fick had three saves and a 3.00 ERA in 13 appearances.

The Rams return the core of their infield with sophomore Dalton McCarthy, junior Tom Rydzewski and junior Anthony Alvino. The outfield will see returners in senior Edward Bergmann and junior Michael Marino with newcomer Dominick Bacchi.

Also new to the team this season are freshmen pitchers Matt Seelinger (Clarke HS), Kris Kilackey (Longwood HS), William Coward (Paulding, GA) and junior transfer Alex Pangourelias (Odessa). Freshman Andrew Karkota (Eastport-South Manor HS) is expected to be the starting shortstop for the 2014 season.
