Atlantics 11 – Makos 6


The Atlantics scored eleven runs in their victory over the Makos in Game 1 of today’s doubleheader. Nick Calamia was the winning pitcher who allowed no earned runs in his five innings pitched and gave up only two hits. Chris Hardardt, who hit in the clean up spot, had one hit, a three run homerun. Jonathan Tenaglia also contributed solidly to the Atlantics with three hits, one scored run, and three RBI’s.

Atlantics 8 – Makos 5

The Atlantics took the lead in the first inning on a solo home run by Brandon Fischer. A fielding error and a base hit by Vinny Prisco the following inning scored the Makos’ only run, tying the game at one. A two-run home run by Dominick Raucci in the bottom of the second put the Atlantics up for good. Jesse Russo drove in two insurance runs with a double. Atlantics’ starter Joey Enderle pitched 6 innings of three-hit ball while surrendering only the one run.
