Whalers 11 – Red Birds 3
The Whalers got on the board in a big way in the first inning. They finished the game in a similar fashion. Eleven batters stepped up to the plate in the home fourth inning, where the Whalers plated five runs. The Red Birds made it a close game in eighth, bringing the score to 5-3 but the Whalers came back stronger in the bottom of the frame. The Whalers plated six runs en route to mercy ruling the Red Birds. Jonathan Pagan (Old Westbury) went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs. Mark Flynn (Columbia) went 3-for-6 with two RBIs and a run. Jack McCarty (Molloy) went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, and Steven Donohue (Franklin Pierce) added an RBI and stole home.

Losing pitcher – Red Birds – Anthony Eichorn (0-1)
