Game 1 – Makos 3 – Tribe 1

The Tribe carried a 1-0 lead from the first inning into the sixth inning against the Makos. However, seven men came to the plate in the sixth as the Makos scored three runs to put them up for good. David Hawley (Nassau) singled and eventually scored the game-tying run on a wild pitch then Vinny Prisco (Marywood) hit a triple to drive in the go-ahead runs. Tribe pitcher Greg Boyle (Hofstra) pitched 5.2 innings while striking out four despite the loss.

Losing pitcher – Tribe – Greg Boyle (0-1)

Game 2 – Tribe 4 – Makos 3
The second game of the doubleheader was a seesaw affair that went into extra innings. The game featured four lead changes and was eventually won on a base hit by Tommy Yohe (Muhlenberg) in the bottom of the ninth that scored Bobby Kollmer (Hofstra) and Carmine Vricciariello (Saint Rose). Kollmer was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Ken Daley (LIU Post) was 2-for-4 with home run scored and two steals. Yohe only had one hit but it was the most important hit of the game, ending his day with two RBIs.
