Hurricanes 9 – Atlantics 7
The Hurricanes outslugged the Atlantics 9-7 in a game that lasted just five innings, and was cut short due to lightning. The Hurricanes had four players with multi-hit games, including Manny Esposito (Mercy) who tallied three hits and a stolen base. Tommy Ziegen (Old Westbury) also had a big day at the plate, with two hits and three runs batted in. Thomas Zaki (Queens) picked up the save against the Atlantics when he came in with one out in the final inning, and retired the next two batters. The Atlantics only had five hits, despite having seven runs. Two of their hits were by Dominick Raucci (Dowling), who also drove in a runner.
